Colorado Springs officer hit by stolen aluminum bat in attempt to stop robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A Colorado Springs officer was hit by a stolen aluminum bat Monday night after attempting to stop a suspect committing a robbery.

Colorado Springs police said just after 9 p.m. officers were called to 5240 North Academy Boulevard near the Target in response to a report of a robbery.
