SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — 33 full time equivalent staff are set to be cut from Springfield Public Schools (SPS) following the approval of the school district’s 2026-2027 operating budget.
According to SPS Chief Operating Officer Brett Yancey, the reason that staff were the main source for these cuts was due to how much they take up in the budget.
