EUGENE, Ore. – A new variety of winter daphne is making its way into local gardens with promises of bigger blooms and easier care.
The Pink Princess Daphne is an improvement on the classic winter daphne. It features larger blooms, a longer bloom time and an earlier bloom time than traditional varieties.
“It is a winter daphne, and we’re past winter and spring, so you can see there’s no blooms, but I wanted to highlight it because it’s a newer introduction, and if we get it planted this spring, we’re all going to get rewarded with some amazing blooms next winter, going into spring,” said Caleb Johnson of Johnson Brothers Garden Market…
