SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A small plane made a belly landing at the Schenectady County Airport after a malfunction with its landing gear Tuesday evening. Thomas Corners Fire Department Fire Chief Robert Job said his crew got the call around 6:30 p.m.

Job said, according to the pilot, the landing gear was lowered, but it didn’t end up going down when he hit the ground. Instead, the landing gear buckled underneath the plane upon landing.
According to Job, the pilot, who was the only occupant of the plane, got up and walked away after the plane touched down. The pilot was located and evaluated when crews arrived on scene. No injuries were reported.
Job said the plane sustained damage to its propellor, as well as underneath the plane.
