Two sentenced to prison after 68-year-old beaten in robbery

Albany, NY (WRGB) — A street robbery on Clinton Avenue that left a 68-year-old man beaten and injured led Albany police to two illegal handguns and a ’50-round ammunition feeding device’, and now, two men have been sent to state prison.

Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced today that two individuals connected to the assault and robbery have been sentenced.

The Honorable William Little sentenced 32-year-old Nahshon Joseph Tuesday to 10 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. Joseph pleaded guilty to two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

Judge Little also sentenced Joseph’s codefendant, 20-year-old Amazjee Glass to five years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after Glass pleaded guilty to Robbery in the Second Degree.

The case stems from Aug. 12, 2025, when Albany police responded to Clinton Avenue just after 1:45 p.m. and found a 68-year-old man who said he had just been robbed and beaten…
