MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A domestic assault suspect is accused of trying to bring a stolen firearm into 201 Poplar after telling guards he had no clue that it was in his backpack.
Nigel Emanuel Harper, 26, was charged with theft of property, unlawful possession of a handgun, and carrying weapons during judicial proceedings.
On May 11, at around 09:45 a.m., deputies responded to a weapon violation at the Criminal Justice Center on Poplar Avenue.
