Former Bayou La Batre Housing Authority director sues board members, Mobile County Sheriff

The former executive director for the Bayou La Batre Housing Authority has filed a civil suit alleging that board members and the Mobile County sheriff were involved in a scheme to forego paying owed retirement funds.

The former director, Virginia Huddleston, and her husband, Darryl Wilson, made the filing Tuesday in Mobile County Circuit Court.

Defendants named in the lawsuit include Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch, Bayou La Batre Housing Authority members, the City of Bayou La Batre and seven fictitious individuals…
