A sudden evening blackout cut electricity to more than 6,000 PG&E customers in West Sacramento on Monday, flicking off the lights across residential blocks and parts of the Port Sacramento industrial area. The outage surfaced shortly before 6 p.m., sending crews out to inspect the system and track down the damaged equipment as residents refreshed outage maps and checked their phones for updates.
According to PG&E, about 6,163 customers lost power across the Northwest Village and Southwest Village neighborhoods and the Port Sacramento Industrial Park.
