STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A West Brighton mother said she rushed to her son’s middle school in fear after receiving a call that no parent ever expects — that her 14‑year‑old had been attacked by an adult while walking home from school.
When she arrived at Laurie Intermediate School (I.S. 72), she was met with multiple emergency vehicles.
