Two, including toddler, flown to Iowa City after crash north of Waterloo

BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa — A woman and a toddler were flown to Iowa City with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon north of Waterloo, according to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called around 2:54 p.m. to the intersection of Highway 63 and Cedar Wapsi Road for a crash involving injuries.

Investigators said a Chevrolet van traveling west on Cedar Wapsi Road entered the intersection after stopping at a stop sign and failed to yield to a southbound Nissan Altima on Highway 63.
