RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The 2026 Reno/Sparks Walk for ALS takes place this weekend.
Alexa Vazquez, a volunteer with ALS of Nevada, and Jessica Hurst from Reno Fire, stopped by Morning Break to share how this event brings the community together to support individuals and families impacted by ALS.
They also shared why it’s important for them to take part in events like this. Vazquez lost her grandpa to ALS; and Reno Fire participates every year because they lost a fire captain to the disease and walk in honor of him. This year they will have a Fire Fighter Relay prior to the Walk that starts at 10 a.m…
