Northern Lebanon School District votes to raise property taxes for third year in a row

Lebanon, PA — In a meeting Tuesday night, the Northern Lebanon School District voted 5-4 in favor of increasing property taxes by 4.29% to offset what it says are necessary expenses.

Some people who showed up to voice their frustrations with the tax hike said this feels like déjà vu.

“We’re not pleased when we work hard to provide for our families and our expenses continue to climb,” Jonathan Lum, a former student and now teacher in the district said during public comment. “You are elected by the people, for the people. You are increasing the difficulty for people to survive in this economic climate.”…
