Seminole County to pursue traffic safety initiative

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Seminole County is moving forward on a plan that would deploy advanced cameras to improve traffic and safety at busy intersections.

On Tuesday, commissioners gave approval for the county to apply for up to $10 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All grant.
