Bucks Co. man pleads to detonating explosive under car outside boss’ NJ home

A Bucks County man pleaded guilty, Tuesday, to detonating an explosive device under a vehicle outside his boss’ Delran, New Jersey home in July of 2025, officials said.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office in New Jersey, during a hearing at the federal court in Camden, NJ, Michael Patrick Takacs, Jr., 44, of Warminster pleaded to transporting an explosive with the knowledge and intent that it would be used to intimate an individual and used unlawfully to damage and destroy property after an incident that happened in Delran, New Jersey on July 26, 2025.

Court documents state, in that incident, investigators found that after being terminated from his job in April of last year, Takacs made an improvised explosive device using explosive chemicals and a remote pyrotechnic device…
