Jamie Ertle’s First Alert WX Forecast for May 12, 2026

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – We only had a trace of rainfall at the airport but many of us including those south of the Altamaha picked up a third of an inch of rain. Rain chances remain higher south of I-16 through the rest of Tuesday but we’ll start to see the rain taper off overall by Wednesday morning. An area of Low pressure in the Gulf will slowly pull away.

Wednesday: Cloudy to mostly cloudy to start, 30/40% chance of showers, 55° inland and closer to 62° in Savannah and the coast. Becoming partly cloudy by the late afternoon with highs near 80.

A weak cold front will push through the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry on Thursday resulting in slightly cooler temperatures on Friday…
