ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Food truck operators are facing significant financial pressure due to recent gas price hikes. The average cost of gas in the Stateline area has risen to nearly $5 a gallon, directly impacting their operational expenses and overall profitability.
According to GasBuddy, the average cost of gas across the Stateline area is nearly $5 a gallon. Food trucks operate on very thin margins, and owners report that these higher fuel costs are making it increasingly difficult to sustain their businesses.
