Evergy gets partial approval for transmission line through south central Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Utility regulators in Kansas have handed a win to landowners in the south central region.

The Kansas Corporation Commission voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve part of Evergy’s proposed construction of a 133 mile transmission line. However, Evergy will have to reconsider a portion of the line.
