YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A traffic stop in Yancey County last month resulted in two individuals being arrested for a combined 36 drug charges, and in the process, 158 grams of methadone and 28 grams of methamphetamine were seized.
The Yancey County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media on May 13 that a traffic stop was conducted on April 4 at the West end of the county. Deputies ended up arrest of two individuals on a combined total of 36 criminal charges, including 24 felony offenses related to methamphetamine and methadone.
The sheriff’s office said in the post that during the investigation, deputies seized approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine and 158 grams of methadone. The quantities seized resulted in Level III trafficking charges…
