An Onondaga County high school is putting free lunches back on the menu

Syracuse, N.Y. — In a reversal, Fayetteville-Manlius district officials are restoring the free lunch program for high school students.

The decision was announced by Superintendent Magda Parvey and administrators at a school board meeting Monday night.

Since the 2012-13 school year, F-M has opted out of the federal government’s National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program at the high school in response to student requests for more diverse lunch choices…
