LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A woman was sentenced two years after authorities found over 1,000 fentanyl pills and other drugs inside a central Lincoln home.
On Friday, 32-year-old Stephanie Bartels was sentenced in federal court in Lincoln to 5 years, 10 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute and to possess with the intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, and for possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl.
There is no parole in the federal system. After Bartels’ release from prison, she will begin a four-year term of supervised release. She will also forfeit any interest she has in $19,739…
