UT Health San Antonio physician shot while walking his dog released from hospital

SAN ANTONIO – A doctor who was shot and critically injured while walking his dog in an early morning ambush has been released from the hospital.

On Wednesday, University Hospital confirmed that 30-year-old Dr. Jonathan Desposorio had been released from its care after lengthy stays at Brook Army Medical Center and University Hospital.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, Desposorio, a physician affiliated with UT Health San Antonio, was shot near the intersection of Euclid and Evergreen, just steps away from where he both lived and worked.
