Windy afternoon expected today

Today will be breezy, especially during the afternoon hours. Winds out of the northwest will gust up to 20 mph, which could affect outdoor plans and make it feel cooler than the actual temperature.

The combination of gusty winds and low humidity could create critical fire weather conditions in east-central Georgia, so you should exercise caution with any outdoor burning or activities that could spark a fire in that area.

Otherwise, it’s a dry day with clear skies and plenty of sunshine — perfect for getting outside once you account for the wind.
