KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Free Shred Day is returning to the 6 News studios next month, allowing members of the community to safely dispose of personal documents for free.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to noon located at 1306 North Broadway in Knoxville.
What can I bring?
Each vehicle is permitted to bring up to three small boxes of paper for shredding. After the documents have been securely disposed of, the boxes will be returned. Multiple trips are allowed for vehicles with more than three boxes.
How to participate
Enter the 6 News parking lot and follow the posted signage and directions from volunteers. Staff members will assist in taking your boxes without requiring you to exit your vehicle.

Disposing of paperwork that contains sensitive personal information is an important safeguard against identity theft and fraud.
