LINCOLN, RI — A Providence man faces multiple drug and weapons charges following his arrest May 11, 2026.
Lorenzo Medina Rivas, 30, of Providence, was arrested by members of the HIDTA Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration Providence District Office and the East Providence Police Department Special Investigations Unit.
Rivas was charged with possession with the intent to deliver over 1 kilogram of a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl; possession with the intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl; possession with the intent to deliver once ounce to one kilogram of a Schedule II controlled substance – cocaine; possession with the intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – cocaine; possession with the intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – methamphetamine; possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation; possession of a ghost gun; and large-capacity feeding devices prohibited (2 counts)…
