ROCHESTER, N.Y. — At Saturday’s annual gala at the Memorial Art Gallery (MAG), leaders announced that general admission will be free for everyone starting in early 2027. This was done through the museum’s Free for All, Forever initiative.
It comes after the community raised over $9 million in support of the initiative, aiming to ensure lasting access to art and cultural experiences for future generations.
“By eliminating our admission fee for everyone in perpetuity, generations of community members will soon be able to enjoy MAG’s extraordinary collection and benefit from a rich cultural education without cost of entry ever standing in the way,” says Sarah Jesse, the Mary W. and Donald R. Clark director of the Memorial Art Gallery.
The official launch date will be announced in the coming months…
