(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A popular restaurant on the northwest side of Colorado Springs was broken into and vandalized over the Mother’s Day weekend, though the owner said restaurant staff still managed to serve Mother’s Day brunch despite the ordeal.
The Margarita at Pine Creek, which has operated in Colorado Springs for over 50 years, posted about the incident on social media on Monday morning, praising its staff for being able to pivot after a rough lead up to Mother’s Day brunch–typically one of the restaurant’s busiest days of the year.
According to the restaurant, at some point overnight into Sunday morning, the restaurant was broken into, vandalized, and robbed. The suspects cut the power to the restaurant’s phone lines, internet, and security cameras, which the owner said left the business with no warning and no recourse…
