ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- Albany County District Attorney Lee Kindlon said an Albany man who fled a traffic stop and threw out a loaded gun has been sentenced to prison.
The district attorney’s office said 32-year-old Jamarl Townsend was sentenced May 14 to 10 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision. A jury found Townsend guilty in January after a three-day trial on charges of Second-Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
