Federal officials seize 55,000 counterfeit fentanyl pills in Providence drug bust

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The Drug Enforcement Administration said its officials seized around 55,000 counterfeit pills in a drug bust in Providence.

According to federal authorities, the pills are allegedly tied to the Sinaloa cartel.

The DEA shared photos of the pills, a firearm, apparent packaging material, and more.
