A New York State teen was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison on Wednesday, May 13 after he allegedly lured his friend to a park where he was fatally shot.

Ja’Kye Jamison, 19, was found guilty in March of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the death of 15-year-old Karon Works, according to the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office.
