Bossier City Police Chief honored for selfless leadership & service

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Bossier City Police Chief Daniel Haugen is being recognized for 25 years of service to the department; a career defined by quiet leadership and putting his officers first.

In 2022, Haugen was appointed police chief by Mayor Tommy Chandler. His team said his presence is felt not through authority, but through the way he carries himself every day.

“My love for people. Love for all the police officers here that’s the reason why I wanted to be the chief,” Haugen said.
