Del Rio woman arrested in federal probe tied to deadly migrant train cases

DEL RIO, Texas — A woman has been arrested in connection with a federal human smuggling investigation tied to the deadly migrant train cases in San Antonio and Laredo.

Six people were found dead in a boxcar Sunday in a Laredo railyard. Another man was found dead on train tracks in Southwest Bexar County on Monday, and the sheriff believes the cases are linked. He says the man, identified as 49-year-old Nereo Aguilar Garcia, may have fallen from the train or been pushed after a boxcar door may have been opened from outside the railcar.
