City of Tulsa celebrates groundbreaking of new urban dog park in downtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa and local residents celebrated the groundbreaking of the new urban Brush Arbor Grove Dog Park in downtown Tulsa.

The construction will revitalize Legacy Park and transform the area into a completely pet-friendly space that downtown residents can visit with their dogs.

“We’re actually utilizing a lot of the existing design of the park,” explained Emily Scott, the Interim President and CEO of Downtown Tulsa Partnership. “The concrete pathways will remain and they actually form the barriers and entryways into the small and large separated dog park areas. We’re converting the lawn into artificial turf. That will help a lot better with cleanliness and maintenance long-term and to keep it green year-round. We’re adding some dog park amenities like more bag stations and water stations that will have bowls attached to them on the ground and then improving the landscaping and the lighting as well.”…
