West Eugene’s Chambers Street Bridge work pushed to next week

EUGENE, Ore. – Work on the Chambers Connector, one of the most delayed road projects on Eugene’s west side, hit a snag this week after rain forced crews to pause.

Crews started concrete deck overlay work on the Chambers Street Bridge on Monday. But rain stopped the work before it could be completed.

“The actual paving itself is only meant to take a couple of days,” Suitor said. “Unfortunately, last night it started raining, so we had to stop doing that now. It has now been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week.”…
