A Pittsburgh bakery with an apparent rodent problem is under Consumer Alert by the Allegheny County Health Department.
Inspectors say Prantl’s Bakery on Walnut Street in Shadyside was cited for six violations, including one considered high-risk.
An inspection conducted on Thursday, May 14, shows rodent droppings were found in several areas including near a dish machine, near the back exterior door, on a shelf near the icing station, under the sink, on a tabletop “next to the mixer to the right of the grease trap”, on trays and on top of boxes of sprinkles, behind a case county, on paper to-go bags under the register counter and several other areas…
