Police chief to share Ferguson experience at event honoring Ann Arbor activists

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor police chief is set to share about his experience about civil unrest in Missouri as part of a symposium for social justice.

Chief Andre Anderson served as the interim chief for Ferguson, Missouri, after a federal investigation determined the city’s police department was frequently violating the rights of its Black residents. The investigation followed a white officer fatally shooting Michael Brown, an 18-year-old unarmed Black man, which sparked national attention.
