CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Wildlife officials said black bears are on the move across North Carolina, but sightings won’t be unbearable if people are prepared.
“A bear traveling to or through a highly populated area, even a place like Charlotte, is not an emergency,” District 6 biologist Rupert Medford said. “The best thing you can do is leave it alone. Do not approach the bear, and let it travel on through.”
