Cobb County high school principal charged with battery against student during walkout

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Cobb County high school principal is facing a misdemeanor battery charge for an incident during a walkout protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in January.

Paul Gillihan, the principal of Campbell High School in Smyrna, is accused of grabbing the bookbag and wrist of the student and yanking him back on Jan. 30, according to the warrant issued by a Cobb County magistrate judge.
