Four from Auburn arrested after drug task force finds cocaine, a handgun after home searches, police say

AUBURN N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Four people from Auburn are facing felony charges after the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force allegedly found cocaine, a handgun and more from some home searches, the Auburn Police Department said.

Police said in a statement that the task force have been investigating “the illegal possession, sales and distribution of narcotics” allegedly conducted in Cayuga County by 57-year-old James Humphrey and 38-year-old Neil Burt, both of Auburn.

Through their investigation, task force members obtained search warrants at residences that officers allege were used by Burt and Humphrey “to further their sales of narcotics,” police said. The task force executed those warrants on Monday morning…
