NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A mother in New Hanover County celebrated Mother’s Day by winning a $100,000 lottery prize.
According to North Carolina lottery officials, Jessica Sesera of Castle Hayne won the prize from a $30 scratch-off.
“I don’t usually buy tickets but it was Mother’s Day so I just went for it. I’ve never played that one before,” she said. “I was like, ‘There’s no way this is happening. I didn’t believe it was real.”…
