COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Thousands of power outages were reported Friday evening in southwest Iowa as rain and thunderstorms moved through the area.
An outage map reviewed by Iowa Pulse listed about 2,847 outages in the Council Bluffs area. The largest reported outage area was Red Oak, where 1,734 outages were listed.
Other reported outage totals included 501 in Tabor, 275 in Montgomery County, 165 in Fremont County and 104 in Randolph.
