The local man who allegedly attacked his father with a knife in December has been ruled competent to stand trial.
On May 13, Yamhill County Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Easterday ordered the case against Visiliy V. Barbiyeru Jr. to resume after hearing from mental health experts that the 31-year-old Newberg resident can aid and assist in his defense.
