Wildfires in Randall County spreading rapidly Friday

First responders worked a second day straight to contain fast spreading fires, while residents faced waves of smoke and flames, dry and hot weather, road closure detours, evacuations and more uncertainty throughout Friday, May 15 in parts of the Texas Panhandle, including near Amarillo and Canyon.

As of 9:21 p.m., all evacuation orders had been lifted, according to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.
