DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board has approved tax credits for five manufacturing projects across Iowa, a package officials said is expected to support 521 jobs and nearly $400 million in new capital investment.
According to Gov. Kim Reynolds and IEDA, the awards were made through the Business Incentives for Growth program, known as BIG. The projects are planned in Cedar Rapids, Charles City, Milford, Montezuma and Butler County.
Officials said the BIG program has now backed 16 manufacturing projects since it began in January. Those projects are expected to support at least 1,170 jobs and bring nearly $775 million in new capital investment to Iowa.
