STOUGHTON, Wis. (WMTV) – Main Street in downtown Stoughton has temporarily reopened as construction is paused for the weekend ahead of the city’s Syttende Mai festival.
Construction on Main Street has caused challenges for businesses and customers. The road closure is part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s reconstruction of Highway 51 and the retaining wall along 5th Street.
Alicia Uecker, front of house manager at The Feiring, has been helping customers navigate the construction.
