A mountain of missing mail in St. Louis finally delivered the perfect excuse

Recently, a story surfaced out of St. Louis claiming that a man found a mountain of undelivered mail in a vacant lot in North St. Louis.

Among the items were gas, water, and electric bills, insurance letters, and correspondence from banks. Not mentioned but probably included were court summonses, chain letters, letters from creditors, income tax refunds, birthday party invites, and thousands of pounds of junk mail. I guess the carrier just stopped trying to make his deliveries and gave up.
