COLORADO, USA — Gov. Jared Polis (D) has granted clemency to a man who shot a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy nearly two decades ago.
In a clemency letter dated May 15, Polis wrote that he was granting Brandin Kreuzer commutation, making him eligible for release on parole effective June 1.
“As of the date of this letter, you have served over 15 years of your 50-year sentence,” Polis wrote. “The crimes you were convicted of are very serious. Nonetheless, I believe you deserve clemency for several reasons.”…
