Pedestrian struck, killed in Northern Kentucky

FT. WRIGHT, Ky. (WKRC) — Police in Northern Kentucky are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Friday night.

Kenton County Police said crews were called to the intersection of Madison and Highland pikes in Ft. Wright just after 11 p.m. At the scene, officers found a 37-year-old man who had been hit. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Healthcare Edgewood Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said a 76-year-old Covington man had been driving north on Madison when he struck the victim, who had been crossing Madison outside of a crosswalk and wearing all dark clothing. The driver reportedly turned around and stopped his car near the collision site…
