WILMINGTON — The sounds of cowbells and cheers were heard by everyone at Brandywine Park as the Wilmington community supported bikers on their way up Monkey Hill, Friday evening.

The 2026 Wilmington Grand Prix kicked-off their racing weekend with the Monkey Hill Time Trial and Kick-Off party event, inviting bikers to compete and the Wilmington community to cheer them on.

The time trial course spanned 3.2 miles and took bikers through and around Brandywine Park and the surrounding area. The course ends with the bikers completing a steep incline on a cobblestone surface — Monkey Hill — where most fans wait to cheer on the bikers in their final effort up the hill.
