University of Iowa nursing graduates face decision: stay or leave amid shortage

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – Nearly 100 nursing students graduated Saturday from the University of Iowa, but not all plan to stay as Iowa continues to see a nursing shortage.

Graduate Kiana Warren said the split is roughly even.

“It’s a bit like 50-50 split. I’d say a lot of us are going out of state. But a lot of people who came from out of state are actually staying here at the university,” Warren said…
