Renae Lorentz knew her late husband, Mike, was onto something special when they opened their first automotive repair shop 43 years ago. At the time, smaller, mom-and-pop shops were everywhere in Denton County, each built on honesty, knowledge, and integrity.
But as the years went by, many of those familiar neighborhood shops began to disappear — bought out, pushed out, or simply unable to keep up. To no one’s surprise, Lorentz Automotive stood strong.
Fast-forward to today, and Renae and Mike’s dream is still rooted in the family values that helped launch it — oh, and by the way, they are really good at fixing cars. Not only is the flagship store in Lewisville still open, but they’ve added a family- owned location in Ponder, in addition to also owning German Autowerk in Lewisville…
